Hjulbäck beach

Our nearest proper beach on Lake Siljan: sandy, shallow for a long way out (perfect with small children), with a jetty and grassy picnic slopes. Quietest before 11 in the morning.

There are no facilities, so bring what you need — you'll find a cool bag, picnic blanket and beach toys in the hallway cupboard for exactly this. The shallow water warms up surprisingly fast in June.
